VHV and Beekman to Host Chefs and Bartenders Golf Classic

Beekman Country Club in Hopewell Junction, will play host to Vintage Hudson Valley's First Annual Golf Tournament for Bartenders and Chefs, Monday, May 17, 2010. The event is open to any U.S. chef and bartender. There will be prizes galore, including an all expense paid golf vacation in Ireland. The tournament is followed by an awards ceremony and chef pot luck dinner at Beekman Country Club. Proceeds will go to Glynwood farm in Garrison. VHV Cooking Classes Attract Record Numbers

Following a successful summer season, Vintage Hudson Valley continues its popular Inn to Inn Cooking series this fall with customized classes for groups from Arizona, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania. Three new programs, Winter Cooking Weekends, Cooking with Shakespeare, and The Golfing Gourmet, are set to launch in 2010. HV Shakespeare Fest Ends Season, Triumphant

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival performs in a state-of-the-art theater tent overlooking the Hudson River at Boscobel in Garrison, New York. Storm King Art Center, the world-renowned 500-acre sculpture park in the Hudson Valley, will feature acclaimed environmental artist Maya Lin's "Bodies of Water Exhibition" through November 15th, 2009. Ms. Lin's Storm King Wavefield is the newest addition to their permanent collection. A special tour of this exhibition will be offered by art historian, Jan Garden Castro, Sunday, Oct. 11th from 3-4 PM. Guided walking tours and tram tours of the park are available.
